Research Consulting Lab (RCL) Print E-mail

The Research Consulting Laboratory (RCL) provides biostatistics support for research projects undertaken by students, fellows, residents, and other junior investigators.  The RCL is staffed by biostatistics graduate students and is directed by Kim McFann, PhD, a senior biostatistician.

The RCL offers brief tutorials to students at no charge, and provides biostatistics collaboration to participants in the Mentored Scholar Activity (MSA) program under its sponsorship.

The RCL provides study design, sample size and power calculations, data analysis, and results interpretation for junior investigators at $45 per hour.

For qualified projects, this hourly rate may be subsidized by the Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) core of the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) to reduce an investigator's out-of-pocket expense to $25 per hour, for up to 20 hours of work.  The $45/hr fee would apply after 20 hours.

Call 303-724-4619 for an appointment.

The RCL is located in the northwest corner of campus in Building 406, Room 102, and is generally open during normal business hours.  The RCL also offers drop-in "office hours" for quick questions.

The RCL is administered by the Colorado Biostatistics Consortium (CBC).
